Jovit Baldivino, Jovit Baldivino, Jovit Baldivino. In a faraway land, in the Philippines, a small 16 years old teen-ager Jovit Baldivino who auditioned for the talent search “Pilipinas Got Talent” -- the biggest talent search show in the Philippines and is a version of “Britain's Got Talent“ put the crowd at awe when he sang the song popularized by Journey “Faithfully”.
Everybody stopped and tongue tied so to speak. He sang it beautifully with a golden voice. The small wonder boy proved the saying, "such good things come in small packages".
Jovit Baldivino was declared the winner of the first ever Pilipinas Got Talents Singing Contest. (as of June 2010)

This is Jovit Baldivino's journey and I feel proud to feature him in this hub. This is what our youth need today, a focus, a dream and the reason for what they are doing, John Baldivino is an example and a good model for our youth.

Jovit Baldivino: The Golden Voice
- Upon hearing the audition of Jovit Baldivino in the "Pilipinas Got Talent" search, I was convinced he is a rare talent with a simple wish and nice disposition in life. The hair rising rendition of the song made me stopped and take a closer look. I listened to the song and the voice and the inspiration why the boy is singing made me admire him more. It almost surpassed the rendition of “journey” the original American rock band who sang the song originally.
A Sensation overnight
The shy boy who has a golden voice became a household name instantly
- After one day after he sang the song Jovit Baldivino became a sensation at you tube and other social sites and people are talking about him. The video of Baldivino’s audition has been uploaded on YouTube and it has been it has been viewed more than 500, 000 plus times and still catching viewers.
- What made him more interesting are his answer to the interview questions, why he joined the search, what are his other activities and his answering the question about his intentions in joining the search.

Jovit Baldivino came from a humble beginning, his dreams and his nice disposition in life
- A boy who was born to a poor parents, he joined the search to help his family and to become a good example among the youth.
- He needs to sell fresh Chinese dimsum (a kind of roll) at the market after his classes to augment family income.
- His simple wish is to finish studies and his own little way help his parents. Thus his attempt to join and win the search.
- The shy boy from Batangas, Philippines said his goal is to finish his studies and, if given a chance, become a popular singer
- He stated that even if he will not win the contest he is glad to be able to show the world what he got and what a true Filipino is -- that was so touching
Jovit Valdivinos' journey is still beginning and as he fulfill his dreams he continue to inspire everybody. This is a tribute to him and to all those who have simple dreams, wishes for his family to transcend poverty and have the power to make them come true. I like it a fact that he wants to finish his studies and do everything that he can to also share to the world what the Filipino can do. At a young age, he knows what he wants to accomplish. He simply inspires everyone.
We can see a lot more of him in the future, I am sure of that.

I appreciate that you posted an article about a Filipino. Based from the videos you also featured here, you were also touched not only by his powerful voice but by his life. I am just moved because he is a humble boy and that alone would really make him reach his dreams. He was taught by his parents well even in the midst of poverty. And indeed, FILIPINOS are really talented because we came from different bloodlines in history. I am just saddened because only a few people all over the world knows that. Since the time of the wars, Filipinos colonized then by the Spaniards, the Japanese and the Americans. Thats why Filipinos are really very talented and knows a lot in terms of improvisation but only sometimes used at the wrong time and in the wrong manner. Hy Maita! Wow! I am so glad I saw this hub! My friend Cathy saw the youtube video and asked me did I want to see a singer as good if not better than Susan Boyle from the UK. Wow. She was not kidding. His story and his humility brought tears to my eyes. The minute he opened his mouth and sang, the world changed. Here is a born talent, meant for greatness. Jovit Baldivino GOT a standing OVATION from the 3 judges and the BIG crowd during the semifinals last May 2 when JOVIT sang 'Carrie." You'll see a different JOVIT in his version of this song. Btw, Jovit can also play drum, strum the bass guitar and do the keyboard. Rare talent indeed.
